Self-owned fire protection factory in Nan’an, Fujian

Fire Protection Equipment Supplier and Manufacturer in China

Minwen Fire has been manufacturing fire protection equipment in its own plant in Nan’an, Quanzhou since 2001. Distributors, contractors, importers and project buyers source fire extinguishers, foam systems, fire sprinklers and alarm valves, fire hydrants, fire hoses and couplings, and fire hose cabinets from one supplier, with private label available and an MOQ of 200 pcs per model (sprinklers 2,000 pcs). Choose the product family, then send operating conditions, destination requirements and order scope for a quotation.

Buyer situations

Match the offer to the hazard, site and supply role

A distributor order and a project installation can require different equipment routes. The response should name the fit, the main mismatch risk and the next verification step.

  1. 01

    Building & commercial projects

Hotels, offices, hospitals, schools and malls. The specification usually arrives fixed, so the work is matching BOQ lines to real models, getting certification into the project file, and phasing delivery so risers land before corridor equipment. CE is confirmed on sprinklers and alarm valves; on the other lines we supply CCC and ISO 9001 documentation and say so before the tender.

  2. 02

    Industrial & high-hazard sites

Tank farms, hangars, chemical plants, warehouses and power stations. Roof type, chemical class, flow requirement and actuation are decided upstream of us, and the agent itself may be restricted — PFAS-containing AFFF is being phased out in several markets. Lead time is quoted per line, because foam concentrate and a motor-driven monitor do not run on the same schedule.

  3. 03

    Distribution & project supply

Private-label ranges and full-BOQ project supply. Labelling method differs per line — screen print on an extinguisher body, engraving on a sprinkler, a nameplate on a reel — and the minimum is 200 pcs per model except sprinklers at 2,000. Confidential manufacturing with no Minwen branding is available, agreed at order stage rather than discovered at inspection.

Comparable quotations

What we need to quote accurately

Keep confirmed values, assumptions and open checks separate. That prevents two suppliers from pricing different configurations under the same product name. A thread, pressure, agent or document mismatch can leave equipment unusable or block compliance review after pricing.

  1. Application and hazard

State the site, hazard class and conditions the equipment must serve.

  2. Product and interface

Send the category or model, capacity or size, pressure, thread, coupling or valve interface.

  3. Destination requirements

Name the market, required standard and the exact document or certification scope to verify.

  4. Order and packing scope

Include quantity per model, preferred packing, labels and any private-label requirements.

Order control

From sample approval to bulk packing

Treat the approved sample as a controlled production reference. Record the revision, configuration, packing and acceptance points that release bulk work.

  1. 01 / Route

    Confirm the route

Lock the application, family, destination market and open evidence checks.

  2. 02 / Reference

    Record the sample

Identify the model, configuration, revision, markings and packing reference.

  3. 03 / Release

    Approve checkpoints

Define which measured or visible points release bulk production.

  4. 04 / Handoff

    Carry forward

Match inspection, packing and shipment evidence to the approved reference.

Inspectable context

Review factory proof before commitment

Self-owned manufacturing since 2001: a 15,000 m² plant in Nan’an, Quanzhou, with twenty production lines, 193 employees and output around 45 containers a month. That scale is why a mixed order across six product lines can be produced in one run and shipped in one container, and why a project schedule can be phased against production milestones rather than against a single promised date.

Quality management is ISO 9001 across every line, with incoming material inspection, in-process checks, final inspection before packing, and packing and marking verification. Third-party pre-shipment inspection is supported, including SGS, Bureau Veritas and Intertek, and visitors are welcome at the plant by appointment.

None of that confirms a model. Connect each image, record or document request to the exact model, batch or order stage under review — a factory claim alone does not establish model-level scope, which is why we state the certification position line by line rather than for the company.

Evidence to request

Request readable inspection, process or document evidence for the applicable model and destination market before treating certificate coverage or current-sale status as confirmed.

Before the inquiry

Questions to settle before the inquiry

Keep undecided items open so the reply separates confirmed values, assumptions and the checks still required.

What should I send for a useful quotation?

Product category or model, quantity per model, destination country, and any certification the market requires. If the specification is not settled, describe the building or hazard instead — that is enough for a first indicative price. Mark undecided items open and the reply will separate what is quoted from what still needs confirming.

Which equipment options should I compare first?

Family before model. Extinguishers, foam systems, sprinklers and valves, hydrants and monitors, hoses and reels, and cabinets are six different decisions, and mixing them into one comparison is where quotations stop being comparable. Once the family is settled, capacity or size and working pressure narrow it to a shortlist.

Which mismatch should be resolved before sampling?

The one that would make the sample meaningless. A coupling standard that does not match the destination, a cabinet sized to the equipment rather than the wall opening, or an agent that is restricted where it lands — each of those invalidates the sample no matter how well it is made. Settle the destination standard first.

How should the sample connect to bulk production?

Samples run 15–20 business days from payment confirmation, on the standard production lines rather than as a fast-tracked one-off, with the same material specification and surface finish as bulk. Record the approved revision, configuration, markings and packing, because those are what release the bulk run.

How is MOQ confirmed?

200 pcs per model on most lines. Sprinklers are 2,000 pcs because of the production batch. Foam suppression is quoted per project specification. The minimum applies per model rather than per order, so a mixed order across several models is often the easier way in for a distributor.

Which trade and payment terms belong in the quote?

EXW from the factory, FOB Xiamen or Quanzhou, or CIF to your destination port. Payment is T/T, typically 30% deposit to confirm production and 70% before shipment. Ask the quotation to state the Incoterm, the port, the payment schedule and the packing basis, so two offers can be compared on the same scope.

What evidence should I review?

Ask for the product view, the process photo or the inspection record, and check it against the exact model in your enquiry rather than the family. Third-party pre-shipment inspection is supported, including SGS, Bureau Veritas and Intertek. Certification is line-specific: CE is confirmed for sprinklers and alarm valves and is not confirmed for extinguishers, hydrants, hoses or cabinets.
